I think Schultz' interpretation is just fine. It looks like a man who could look very severe when angry. Even Charles Bronson and Clint Eastwood seemed friendly when smiling. 😊 I wanted my own take to feel like Buscema, but I'm not sure if I succeeded in the end. It's difficult!

You totally nailed the Buscema look, great job on the illustration dude! Belit is just the best. I did a Conan once and I'd love to paint him fighting at sea with his pirate queen 😊 And my third painting in the series would be a King Conan on his throne.

Avengers was one of the first comics I ever owned and the panels stick with me to this day. Written by Roy Thomas! The art by John Buscema and George Klein was amazing! 1st appearance of Yellowjacket! It also had a great cameo of JJJ and Spidey debating insect-themed heroes!
