Late night fact: while writing the first draft of Eyrie, the reference I used for Ninox was a black-banded owl clutching its talons like it was a cartoon villain saying "Next time, squirrel. Next time!"

Black-banded owls are a type of strix owl, surprising no one.

I've never really played with different kinds of refs and different designs, but this one turned out nicely. Her name is Ella and she is a squirrel. Not only is her design different from most of my characters, she is the first to have a different body type. Proud of myself.
