@TheSpudofWisdom I won't pretend to be a *great* artist or anything, but I'm happy with my "coloring book" style drawing now. Getting the outline right and then flat filling it like below, or occasionally adding textures.

I went out on the porch with my Ipad and messed around in Procreate and ArtRage until I was happy with the figure that seems to be on an outward journey.
And that’s how it works for me, now you see where all of my textures come from.
