@Puapka1 Love the color palette so much! I think the character is very easy to read, but the rest not so much. I think you need to focus on separate the foreground, middleground and background with both contrast in values and colors. Hope I didn't overstep my boundaries by making an edit
Been focusing on getting strong compositions, values, and shapes down. I'm pretty happy with this overall. I might do a full rendered version at some point.
A very small but effective hack to make your portraits look more alive:
Paint subtle saturated colors - I often use reds & golds - in the shadows (B)
instead of having everything the same-ish hue/color as in portrait (A)
(Values are still most important, tough!)
