Interestingly enough, according to Shinkawa's comments in the MGS4 art book, Jonathan's name was originally "Chin". And in Famitsu PS3 Vol.12, Shinkawa mentions that it was also the name of a character in Snatcher, and it turns out that it was Chin Syuuhou(陳 周鳳).

メリルの年齢設定は公式サイトでは10代ですが、1997年当時のコナミマガジンで新川さんはメリルの年齢を17~18歳と言っていたり、2009年に発売されたMGS4の画集では16~17歳と言っていたので大分設定にバラつきがあるんですよね。

エルジー＆フランシスはMGS3でソ連領内から脱出に使用したWIG?、 ウィリアム・フレミングはMGS2のゴルルコビッチ兵、レオーネ大尉もバックパックを背負ったゴルルコビッチ兵?、ラ・クラウンはMGS2の天狗兵。
断定が難しいのもありますがこうしてみると本当に色々描き込まれているんですね。

背景に描かれているのはキャラクターだけでなく、ロジャー・マッコイはMGS2のビッグシェルの連絡橋の入り口、アリスは鳥かごなどからシェル1中央棟電算室。
アシッドはゲーム内でMGSシリーズを元にしたカードが多数使われているのでMGSシリーズの影響力をイラストで表現されているのかな。

メタルギアアシッドの各キャラクターの公式イラスト、背景にはMGSシリーズのイラストも描き込まれていたんですね。スネークだったらマスクを被ったMGS2の雷電/MGS3のネイキッド、テリコはP90を持ったソリダスの蛇手付パワードスーツ。

I honestly do appreciate the artwork that they use for metal gear alot, its rlly cool looking and its just generally one of my favorite art styles in general, the sketchy look along with the minimal use of colors just blends in well with what mgs is about

『EXTREME JUSTICE～法の裁き～』は、中二っぽいですね！
以前にオヤジがTVシリーズをやってましたが、『TRUE JUSTICE 神の啓示』って(笑)。
最近『ブルータル・ジャスティス』という映画を観ましたが、MGSのあの開腹手術シーンが実写でありました(笑)。
