10) My Least Fav illustrator has to be Dalby. I know some others are objectively worse but I just feel sad when I look at how he butchered some illustrations. Especially as he has shown he can do better but seemingly didn't try.
I also hate how he drew the Narrow gauge engines.
2 - Favourite book
Tramway engines. After learning all about Awdry's Ffarquhar branch layout and timetables, this book feels so 'right'. The branch is very thought-out, it feels so realistic. Some of my favourite illustrations too!
1 - Honestly a tough one, they're all great.
I've always had a soft spot for James, but my heart does lie with the narrow gauge - and this is definitely swayed by my experiences with the real engines I will not lie - probably Rheneas or Sir Handel.
