I usually do lineless with gradients for shading. It's easier then having to do lienart and color. It's faster too. I also blur it to help make it look farther away... examples

not exactly the re-make i had in mind but its mostly here! it might get improved at some points but he's back with slightly better topology, an improved sillhouete, gradient textures (massive upgrade i know) and now a tail, to make it more obviously imp like

After that it's time to bring in the flood of effects ✨❄️
I painted the blue eye to look illuminated.. i tried
blurred the stuff that's further away for the macro blur look
Also I shaved a bit of the face shape during painting for that ikemen look

An experimental character atm. Testing out gradients finally figuring it out in my program. Definitely needs work on color and a less cluttered desgin but I’m enjoying how it’s going. If anyone has ideas on improvements I’d like to hear them
