Giant tree head. Imagine making 80kg of antler bone every year, deer biology is amazing like that. Megaloceros flow, giant steppe deer. Really pleased with this one.

Insular fauna appreciation time! Often overlooked, the Mediterranean islands once had an amazing diversity. One of the most numerous groups were otters, or water sosigs, with no less than 7 species during the Pleistocene 😱🦦🦦🦦

By gum, it's 19:35 on time to call it a day. Here's some 2016 of the Cretaceous mammal Spinolestes to sign off for the weekend with. The fluffy tails are speculative, but the other soft-tissues are evidenced by fossil data.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I've been thinking a lot about spinosaurus lately and wanted to do a little study after stuffing my face with some pie.

Morning warmup speedpaint/sketch. Suminia, one of my favorite therapsids. Suminia was a small arboreal anomodontian therapsid (so distantly related to us mammals) that lived during the Late Permian in Europe
