When making darker-skinned characters, this is usually a problem I see with designs. The skin undertone and the VALUES are either too similar or not contrasting enough. It is harder to find that balance, but when you do, you get PLP (some of the cast of SD/STPC) and it's great.
(WIP) Will fix some values there and there cause tablet shows them a bit differently.
Day 1541: Details! I'm really digging just focusing on values, trying to keep a solid pattern and make it look nicer. I think for the foreseeable future I'm going to be focusing on my studies on that, and only maybe dabble a little bit in color on the tail end. But I'm excited!

Day 1538: Detailed Values! I really am excited about this piece again. I think it's going to turn out well if I can keep up with it. I'm inspired by a piece by my mentor and I hope to handle it properly to end up with a good result! I'm going to start exploring colors next!
This is a really quick test I did just to visualize something to myself, but looking at it I really dont like it. The values arent nearly as cohesive as I would want them to be for a scene like this but I just do not have the time to fix them right now. Perhaps some other time.
