It’s a lot to do with using cubes. The idea is that round shapes like circles and spheres are hard to interpret in three dimensional space because of their curvature, but looking at a cube or some other prism, it’s easier to make your figures feel more three dimensional. (1/2)

One thing I really loved about this run is that there would be moments that humanized characters that were regularly depicted as two dimensional supervillains but then also have moments around the rest of society or superheroes and it’s be like “wow these guys are freaks”.
