1886年にシカゴの労働者が「8時間労働制」を求めてストやデモを行ったことを記念し、1890年に第1回メーデーが開催された。

これまでにサラブレッドで〝MAY DAY〟と名付けられた馬はのべ27頭おり、
確認出来る最古のメーデー は1831年に生まれた牝馬。

My design(s) for Elizabeth Lavenza from Mary Shelley's novel Frankenstein.
In the 1818 version she is described as having dark auburn hair and hazel eyes and in the 1831 revised version she is described with golden hair and blue eyes, so I thought I'd draw both :)
