This is the full Mer-Nix i did for 's birthday stream. 🐚💜 🌊 I used a beta fish's fins and colors for reference, and i think it came out pretty stellar for my first time drawing merfolk. 🤗 (The scales are a free brush pattern from CSP assets. Very helpful. 👍)

does anyone happen to have a CSP brush that has this sort of nice, crayon-y texture? I still do most of my lineart in SAI cuz I can't find a good equivalent T___T It can be a paid brush too, i don'y mind!!

A simple overlay can be made by finding a high resolution paper you like, making it higher contrast, and monotone, then using “screen” as your layer setting in Photoshop, Procreate or CSP.
The difference between these two pages is purely the use of a paper overlay at 25% Screen.
