Playing as a Paladin or any religious class in DND is fun, I often take inspiration from the Byzantine empire for my clerics and paladin’s aesthetics. Hopefully I’m going to make a blood hunter/Celestial Warlock Multiclass based off the penitent one. From Blasphemous.

A wonderful painting from my recent visit to the Madonna and Child with Angels by Filippo Lippi c.1445. A move away from the stiff Byzantine style of work to a more human and accessible interpretation. Absolutely beautiful.
