Sonic's design is kinda harmonious. The spikey ball design is not just cause he's a hedgehog, but also because the ball physics are a core game mechanic. Some artists get tripped on his turnarounds, but Tyson Hesse borrows a trick from Mickey Mouse and "turns" the silhouette.

Really sad that the Nitro Kart tracks in the CTR remake won't feature the antigravity mechanic. All the memorable setpieces in NK were designed to show off the antigravity, meaning the most crucial parts of those tracks are gonna have to be cut, or at least made less interesting
