I keep changing my mind on this but I'll get there eventually. I keep wanting to rush to colours, but argh, what a good practice for values.

colorshade is just a funny way to call coloring only the shadows (or lower values), i tend to use diagonal lines for that stuff.

this i'm doing so that even when I'm rendering in a visibly grayscale painting i am still playing with colors (as you can see). I will only be guided by values so unless I toggle off the B/W filter layer.. the end result of colors is a both a mystery and surprise! So. Here we go!

Value trumps hue and saturation. You can use any colors anywhere so long as the values are right.
