Post from got me thinking, so here is the 1st issue of Uncanny X-Men I ever got (302, Jul. '93) & the last (340, Jan. '97).

Quite a sampling of all the change, narratively & visually, that the book went through during the middle of the '90s. Great time to be reading

Why though? ME3 FemShep looked uncanny valley when compared to the default in ME1 and characters that had a face model.

I think my favorite collection of Pokémon sprites is the Red/Blue set. Not because of nostalgia, but because of their sense of otherworldliness. Yellow would see the sprites changed to look more like their promotional/anime counterparts, so Red/Blue's remain wild and uncanny.

Due to commissions I'm not gonna finish this piece anytime soon, so I'll shamelessly leave it here even though it's partially finished.

Anthro still isn't my thing (pony heads will always look uncanny on human bodies), but those human bodies are still fun to draw!

Outside Kitty’s story, Kurt never flirts with these girls. Yet the Bamf doll’s erotic legacy maintains a sexual charge, potentially actualized by an adult Rachel pursuing Kurt in X-Men Gold (2017). Claremont didn't write it, but he did pen their first kiss in Uncanny 5/10

The Bamf doll first appears in Uncanny No explanation is given, but it’s either made by the villain Arcade or by Kurt as a romantic token for his girlfriend Amanda Sefton. The fact Amanda gives a similar doll of herself to Kurt in Uncanny suggests the latter. 2/10

Despite the uncanny humanoid appearance, Jynx are theorized to have once been a deep-sea species that evolved to live on the surface.
