I want to give a big shoutout to the Sand Bats in the Valkurm Dune caves. There were 2 sets of these things guarding the Lizard camp. You've chased and killed a LOT of innocent people (including me) and I will never forget that

Bats are an animal I relate to a lot, maybe because they’re kinda just misunderstood.

Echo is actually a hybrid of these two bats. I love the tall ears of the long-eared friend but I thought hematophagy would be a fun trait for a character so I settled on both.

it’s hard to pick one design from spiderwick chronicles to feature. that’s tony diterlizzi for you! but I find myself especially attached to the goblins. bats and frogs are odd animal choices that still feel distinctly “gobliny” and they’re just so raggedy and charming.
