A school of Boeseman’s rainbow fish for this weeks #SundayFishSketch theme rainbow fish ( family Melanotaenia). Trying to get some skills with digital art.
Here is toKnight's reconstruction of Knightia eocaena from fossils preserved in Wyoming's Green River Formation #SundayFishSketch #Pun? #Trying
“well this is the last ducking thing I needed today” -the fish, probably. #SundayFishSketch featuring a brown trout fry and guest-starring an American Pekin duck
Here's my tongue-in-cheek pun for #SundayFishSketch- A genus fusion between Tyrannosaurus and Tyrannophryne. Tyrant lizard meets tyrant seadevil!
I was very eager to share this. I wanted to post it on Saturday... (It's 12:16 right now, so technically it's now Sunday! Woo!)
My #Sparkfish #SundayFishSketch is the common #goldfish! Had a few as a kid, and still love #aquariums today! Would love a pond full of these #fish. (And what the heck, she's now a sticker in my menagerie at https://t.co/RrUGWQe9sA ) #Copics #illustration #traditionalmedia
#sundayfishsketch asked us to draw our #sparkfish time for me to thank plecos in general
For this week's #SundayFishSketch, I digitally painted a red serpae tetra (Hyphessobrycon eques). I've always enjoyed having these in aquaria. #Ichthyology #sciart #fishsci #adobefresco @adobefresco
For #sundayfishsketch this week I've drawn my #sparkfish
The remarkable #Arapaima. A 7ft long fish that breathes air, can jump clean out of the water and is reputed to eat monkeys.
What a creature!
This week's #SundayFishSketch theme was 'fishy self portrait'. I chose Corydoras panda: Needs lots of close friends to be happy, small and chubby, armored defense on the outside to cover up a soft body, doesn't want to bother anyone and can live peacefully with many other fish.
Another try at digital painting today for #SundayFishSketch. Mikrogeophagus ramirezi, a blue ram cichlid (electric blue ;) ). #sciart #ichthyology #cichlid
Aspirations of grandeur, googly eyes, thorns in side... Yep, the bluespine unicornfish (Naso unicornis) pretty much sums it up for a budding business like me. #SundayFishSketch
"Colorful fish" is the theme of this week's #SundayFishSketch. Here are our attempts at two of our more colorful species: the canary rockfish and the rock greenling!
Check this and other #telequarium programs on our YouTube: https://t.co/CwSRfvg2B3
For my #SundayFishSketch contribution, here are species of butteflyfishes from the genus Prognathodes. I made this using Microsoft paint. See if you can ID them all!
I found some motivation today to start painting a boarfish... that I did the line work on...months ago. Didn't finish, but I'm slow. I'm learning something new! #ichthyology #sciart #SundayFishSketch
Fishes rep the colorful side of nature for sure! This a throwback to before I joined twitter: Rhinecanthus aculeatus adult & juvenile duo #teamfish #SundayFishSketch #sciart https://t.co/OrqOfBnZf7
#SundayFishSketch #fishytheme - colorful fish. A Red Roman- fish from South Africa commonly caught by commercial line fishers.
Unfortunately I missed last week but I'm back for #SundayFishSketch
I've seen a lot of teleosts, but elasmobranchs can be colourful too. Under the right light conditions the blue-spot ray's blue patches are almost hypnotic. I love them.
Time for another #SundayFishSketch , this time for #mermay2020 - I was inspired by the three Janets of #thegoodplace
When I moved, I left my reef tank and Lightning Maroon Clownfish temporarily in the care of my family. Apparently my fish has finally grown up enough to be territorial which includes a taste for biting fingers.
