I feel like I’m slowly getting the hang of colours and composition but really want to get better at narrative illustrations and drawing humans in general

I think I’m the exact opposite! hahaah
I think I’m pretty good with anatomy and gestual poses but I have the hardest time with composition and (clearly) backgrounds 😅

So the last step was to correct the face using GFPGAN, redraw the shoulder by hand and enlarge the image to improve the composition. And I finally got the final result. 😇

Then, using img2img, i recomposed the illustration. That fixed the poorly sketchy look. However, the face went wrong, the left shoulder didn't work for me, and the overall composition was not what I wanted:

As many of you have asked me about what my workflow is, I am going to write a short tutorial of the steps I followed to compose this image. The first one was to find a good candidate seed to publish. In this case I liked this one:

What is one thing you think you’re good at, and one thing you wanna improve on?

I’ll start—I think I’m good at composition, but I wanna get better at anatomy and being comfortable with dynamic poses. I think that will help me such a long way!!!

Day 26 (yes, I realize my compound hieratic numbers are going the "wrong" way, but that was an artistic choice. 😉 ) This is probably the SFW version of today’s theme that we’re going to see.

Georg Ireland portrays brilliant music composers with a semi-abstract style, using a rich and unconventional color palette. What do you think about his artwork? We absolutely love it 😍

8) Cody (he/they)
An egotistical hitman. He considers himself to be above those around him, and he has the skill to back it up.
On his own he’s certainly a force to be reckoned with, but that compounded with his cybernetics and powers make him incredibly effective at his work.
