on the side of your torso just below your arms are your lats (latissimus dorsi). to reduce the pain between your neck and shoulder area (esp for your dominant/favoured side) work on strengthening them!

like I can hype myself up and think I have a pose I want to try but the moment I have a vague/rough outline of the pose I begin to forget how anatomy looks. Like, where does the spine go?? Can an arm bend this way?? Why does the torso look so long now??

Here's another torso by @/BigRemerting , this time I tried both soft shade and cellshade. I think I'm getting a bit better with all of this stuff.
