One of the funny things about the G1 Trainbots is that being some of the last of the Diaclone designs to be reused for Transformers is they all have the classic Takara SF Land style heads.

In the early promotional trailer/test footage for The Transformers: The Movie, Ultra Magnus can be seen in alternate Autobot City sequences in his toy's original Diaclone color scheme, indicating the final coloration may have been a late change to the toy.
