The original color pallet was going to be a brighter red color as can be seen Neoni's unused colors. However I later decided to start using other pokemon color pallets with Neoni using charmelions and Oniuta using Poochina with the dark reds coming from gmax coalossal

since Eevee is done with meeting her Eeveelutions (waiting for GMAX) I guess Yamper might evolve in JN107 and officially become Koharu's Pokémon @ full-time. He'll be the battling partner - the Excadrill to Eevee's Axew - but if such happens, it'll just feel shallow IMO.
