Dino Fact:
Xiongguanlong (Xiongguan Dragon) is an early Tyrannosaurid from Early Cretaceous China. It marked a turning point in Tyrannosaur evolution. Compared to other early tyrannosaurs, it was larger, more robust, and had smaller arms like later tyrannosaurs.

Here’s an illu of a couple of Guanlong wucaii dinosaurs. A petite predecessor of the T. Rex 🦖 ✨ Based on a @sciam article.

The Velociraptor reconstruction got a lot of traction from the #tyrannosaurus exhibition in Edinburgh. What do you think of this Guanlong reconstruction?
Guanlong showed that every lineage with giants had small beginnings. Also the cranial crest of Guanlong is intriguing, and may have been used for display. Artwork by @BrianEngh_Art
2. The next #tyrannosaur for #25DaysOfTyrannosaurs will be #Guanlong, a proceratosaurid with a rather remarkable name “Crown Dragon”. Proceratosaurids are known for their small size (with some exceptions), long arms with three fingers, and elaborate crests.
Old-middle-new #paleoart of #Guanlong wucaii over the course of about 6 months.

I want to give it a wire skeleton.
