I'm hoping for Time-Split Zonai-Zelda or Ancient Princess to mirror her, I guess like like Midna. I truly think they will be someone entirely new. All the same, we'll find out in May! So excited!

I think that, regardless if Tears of the Kingdom even acknowledges the branched timeline events, it is worth experiencing all of Breath of the Wild, Age of Calamity & both of their DLC stories. Age of Calamity (and the DLC) really adds to the characterization, especially Zelda.

link's arm is really badly fucked up in this scene, and he's trying to save zelda. zelda say's "please, lend him your power" pleading to the spirit of the ancient hero, thus link is given the super cool ancient arm instead
