This King Vulture (1734, @artinstitutechi) was part of Augustus the Strong’s porcelain menagerie, which was designed by Johann Joachim Kändler and produced by the Meissen Manufactory. 1/

These porcelain flowers are from the Vincennes Manufactory (1740s), which employed 45 women to produce such works. The basket, however, is the product of the Meissen Manufactory (1751). (@TheWadsworth)

A good way of partly identifying early Meissen saucers is to look out for the three centric circles on the rear, often accompanied with a gilders mark in the form of a letter or numbers. Early pieces may have no crossed swords ⚔️
