That’s the Zygomatic arch, all mammal skulls including humans, hippos, warthogs, and boars have them. The shape of that bone in a warthog skull (3rd one) is much less similar to an entelodont than a hippo or even a normal pig

Ok I swear no more lol, I did two variations on a front view of a male entelodont with the exaggerated jugal, I wish I could physically work on a small version of the skull because it’s a weird bone.
Anyway, I did one with all the edged padding vs more sunken in and callous knobs

Been fighting a migraine all day, wanted to work, but couldn’t focus so I just decided to mess with entelodont and make them not have a knobby face and stop with the “pig” when their closest relative a hippo.
I’ll have to do an open mouth one day.
