I feel that on the first year, I struggled with the basics on how to make and publish a webcomic, as well as my workflow as an #artist. On the second year, it felt more like figuring out shortcuts, as well as how to market a thing that's no longer New and Shiny.

Testing Clip Studio Paint again. I've spent the whole afternoon customizing the shortcuts, and now I could draw this in 12 minutes. I didn't do this to brag about how fast I am, but to see if someday I'll be able to be as consistent once I get a job.

@farawayfarer in kyoani's case, i don't think they're often (if ever) guilty of "shortcuts." it seems more like a conservatism as a creative choice, akin to disney's or robert mckimson's versions of "naturalism" to keep the characters looking solid and believable (maybe)
...looking at last doodles, I'm thinking maybe I could try a style that fits them. Instead of fully 3D shapes I could use more 2D cartoon shortcuts here and there. May be more dynamic, expressive, look better, and ...easier?
