I just recently found out about the Gaussian Blur filter.

Help, I want to delete all my previous posts and repost them with the filter. 🥺

Here’s a Dabi fan art I did a little while ago. Tried the Gaussian blur technique and I’m rlly happy w how it turned out! Used a reference pic on google for background.

SelectionTool>GradientMapped on single greyscale layer
Penciled in the ChromaticAberration>GaussianBlur>Sharpen
Chromatic Aberration is so pretty when applied to highlights like eyes ;w;

Some non-fanart for a nice change of pace! I used different brushes this time, so it looks a little different.

Time: 3 days start-to-finish, including breaks
Layers: 25
Canvas size: 4961x7016 (very specific I know)
Other Effects: Gaussian Blur

Tutorial!
1. Line art
2. Base color
3. Base colors
4. Add a “multiply” layer and use a gray pink color
5. Add shadows
6. Color line art (alpha lock the line art layer)
7. Add highlights ✨
8. Play with filters (sharpen or noise or Gaussian blur or increased saturation)

Testing out clip studio paint
The amount of buttons drives me insane but one of those buttons is for Gaussian blur so I think it’s worth it 👁👄👁

Forced an Eren sketch tonight. Played with gaussian blur on the lineart for the first time. Now itll be on everything👀👍

When Gaussian blur is better at blending than you doing it yourself 😞

Found a neat effect while messing around, duplicating the outline and adding some Gaussian blur really makes thing pop to me rather than just the outline on its own. I kind of dig it.

Man i love gaussian blur with 20-25% opacity, idk it just looks so nice .-.

Start with a one, two, or three color fill on a separate layer from ur lineart. I do all of this on a new canvas to be safe, all color layers merged, lineart separate. Use Gaussian blur to create a gradient and then clip it to the merged color layer.
