This kanji is made up of 言(speak/word) and 売(sell), so you can think of this as someone selling their words - especially since reading was often done out loud.

This kanji includes 五 (5) in it, which can be pronounced as ご like this kanji. It serves as a fine memory aid.

Also, I really like the word 物語, monogatari, since it means "tale". =^_^=

It includes 門(gate) and 耳(ear), so I remember it as "you listen through the gate with your ears".

Also, this kanji originally meant to 'news' which is why it's in 新聞, newspaper.

I ended up with a three way tie on the game I should play. However, a certain game stayed in the lead till right near the end, so that's what I picked!

A word of warning, the top component isn't 土(tsuchi, earth), but 士(samurai).

So that's how you can remember this - samurai have to have very loud voices!

It was hard to come up with a mnemonic to remember this with; the best I could do was going into the bamboo 竹 to meet 合 the answer.

I tend to think of this kanji as being like the sound coming out of someone's mouth 口 as an aid to remembering it.

Good afternyan! Here's my for today, 話, talk or tale!

This has both 言 (say) and 舌 (tongue) in it, and both are based on 口 (mouth) so the association is pretty straightforward - you say things with your tongue using your mouth.

Work ended! Guess what? I don't have work this weekend! I thought I wouldn't be able to go out this weekend. Meeting up with someone during the weekend is really important and it means a lot for me mental health so am happi boi now.

Good afternyan! My for today is 道, road.

The components are ⻌, walk, and 首, head/neck. The two are hard to connect into "road", but one way is "you use your head to walk along the road". Like "watch for traffic".
