It was interesting to know that the Battle Spirits had a "storyline" that explained how so many characters came together in an adventure. I always thought it was a random fighting game, one of the simplest because I thought that there was no story, but there really was one.

@jamesjhaeck If I had to choose... Final Fantasy Tactics. Of all the storylines told in that franchise's history, The Lion War is the least convoluted that doesn't rely on sidequests, and could probably be told over the course of three seasons at six episodes a piece.

A broken Invaders must counter Namor’s attacks. Writer Chip Zdarsky flounders a bit, with the heroes at odds. Still love Butch Guice on the WWII art and Carlos Magno on the present day storyline. 3.5/5
