Making some progress! The face took me the longest to do, but the rest is pretty easy! I've gotten down the basic flow for how to plan out these kinds of textures now!

Strange Academy was a pretty cool setup - a lot of characters to juggle but I really, really dug it and hope that continues.

#GodHand This group itself was a well known Japanese trope. A cocky queen, a scrawny trickster, and a fat dullard was the basic setup for the "evil trio" from the "Time Bokan" series by Tatsunoko Productions. You see variants of these guys EVERYWHERE.

I've had to tweak the textures & material parameters for my custom models, since I'd originally designed them around my previous inaccurate render setup.
This is now what these models will look like when I can actually get them working in-game.
I tweaked my Smash Ultimate render setup again, making it MUCH more game-accurate!
Though these specific examples are T-posed, lack shadows & indirect lighting, & have differing light positions, the actual materials on them are practically identical to what's seen in-game.

@TabKimpton Well I did a few different common “portrait” lighting setups on the same face here which really opened my eyes to where the different planes of the face touch light - I love the “cute nose” light a lot!
