Love the artwork!!

Yes! When Elizabeth and Gregory arrive at the pagan village in book 2, we meet many new characters with tattoos! Matt has one on his face (it's the symbol of The Morken) and Chief Erik has one on his neck to symbolize that he's the Stag of White!

Hi

What's your MC doing when we first meet them at the start of your book/series?

In the beginning of Prince Gregory's returning to the palace after spending 6 months suppressing the rebellion. Princess Elizabeth is painting in the gardens.

I am beginning to think of Beatrix Potter the Mrs. Lovett of children's picture books. Meat pies appear in several of her stories. This illustration of Mrs. McGregor serving Peter's father to the family was eventually removed from "Peter Rabbit."

HUGE special thanks to Jim McGregor who drew this cover and is currently working on my next. Just an astonishingly fascinating, twisted, dark imagination and the skills to match.

2/3 St Gregory is one of the most commonly depicted saints on Norfolk screens. Here he is at Tunstead. Norwich Cathedral has this fine continental panel of St Gregory dated 1538. Today is the feast of St Gregory.
