About half of ya’ll got it right! Since birds are avian dinosaurs, the largest flying dinosaur by wingspan would be Pelagornis. #paleoart by @MarkWitton #dinosaurs #birds #paleontology https://t.co/Ie3eL1reU7
Seeing some peeps doing a carboniferous art week, I happen to be working on a carboniferous animation practice, still drawing out the pieces

@Laelaps Hi there!🦖 Probably not exactly what you are looking for as I am more of a stylized paleoartist, but either way here you have some of my work in case you are interested^^
My Baryonyx piece. Took about 4 hours, I'm really happy with the lighting and details in this one.

The Ediacaran Period hosted many new wild and wonderful animals such as Yorgia, a disc-like organism from the extinct phylum Proarticulata, and Kimberella, a slug-like bilaterian.

Ammonoid Doodles
Just some little paleoart doodles of some wacky heteromorph ammonites that I find unique. I did some research for the soft body tissue, trying to get some accuracy.

A speculative "kakapo like" Balaur bondoc :p
Since balaur was most likely a herbivore and great climber, I thought it would be interesting if I ilustrated it as a nocturnal "kakapo like" avialan instead of a diurnal one

Renewed survey at fossil #hominin sites sometimes turns up additional fragments of earlier discoveries. The LH 5 fragmentary maxilla and dentition of Australopithecus afarensis has parts that were discovered in 1974 and 1979, up to 49 meters apart. #paleoanthropology
Heyo fellow paleo nerds! I'm in need of some suggestions for my Tyrannosaurus texture. I'm not 100% sure what I want to do with it.
