I went through several ideas to see how well it could render skin, light, how to mess with colors and values, and I think I can get used to it.
I'm not as fast as I'd like to be, but I bet that'll improve with practice.

I did a size chart to compare the native size sprites of various characters I have in mugen. It should be noted that anything above average size has lower xscale and yscale values so they can fight regular size characters.
