Telefon!

Telefon was an odd movie. Charles Bronson, Lee Remick, Donald Pleasence, Tyne Daly. Directed by Don Siegel.

Intriguing concept but meandering execution. Felt like a made-for-tv movie. So many great films from the era (1977) and this seemed comparatively dated.

OHMSS is a tough watch, at an ambitious 2hrs 20 min, screenplay-wise it feels like the bleakest of the Bond films until we reach the Craig era. Apparently George Lazenby had a frosty relationship with the director which didn’t add any warmth to a screenplay that’s a touch too icy
