Day 1284: Final Values! I'm pretty happy with the final pass on the values. I'm sure I can get some good feedback from my mentor next session, but I think I've captured the look I was going for with it. I felt sick today so it was rough to get work done, but I'm making progress!

Another portrait study! This was sketched/painted entirely last night on Twitch. I really love that beam of light hitting the model's face. Deciphering the values was particularly tricky but I think it came together by the end.

Though it depends on the piece, my process often begins with a clean sketch, and underneath goes an overall value study. From there, color gets slapped on top of both, keeping with values, and is gone over and over with the piece as a whole until it's rendered.
