Yeah, definitely, though my point is there's a difference between taking influence from current politics/figures and working it in as commentary and just hamfisting it in an extremely forced way.

What comics trope do you never need to see again?

Mine is the played-out trope that says Superman and Batman must fight because of philosophical differences. It’s not even a callback to DKR. It’s a lack of understanding that, at the time, Miller just didn’t care for Superman.
