You're using Blender, yeah? I recommend rendering with the Eevee Engine at 1 Sample. You'll get aliased edges, which should give better results when pixelating. It's also extremely fast.

Also, does PixaTool come with dithering options? I use PixDither myself.

Decided to redone one of my older entries... Another fight with clouds, I think this time colours are overdone. It's too many of them! And too much of dithering! Eventually I murdered all of those nice fluffy shapes... palette

How about a little comparison between the and ports of Code Veronica (both 480i). Even though the PS2 is much sharper, I kind of prefer the smooth look of the DC's textures. Also, note the dithering, possibly thanks to a lower color depth on DC.
