at least xfi made it canon to interpret xforce's gaycoding through the lens of ricstar having a romance within the canon timeline

he was without shatterstar before xforce but he had tabby and rahne as support. in xfi he hit bottom bc of his powers so him "being alone" (feel alone) was bad for him then. then star reappears and it gets better but like i said he's back at being "in charge" of him 5/7
