When I started writing Hydra's Wake... It was to fill a void. I love movies like Tremors, alien, predator. I love the original creature feature novels, the mummy, dracula, Frankenstein's monster... And there aren't too many recent novels that have tha feel.

The exam fight was bloated with exposition dialogue, blown up talk about ideals, nothing organic or character driven. Which was never my writing style for fights in the series. It was just that 1 event.

So being able to show how I write action w/ my characters has been a joy.

one of the best tools i have access to while writing comics is photo mode in video games.

It helps me visualize (or describe) angles and even lighting
