I'm really amazed at Spoon's ability to portray the character's different emotions. She always nails the scene's feel, from her choice of colors, to her composition, the lighting... It's incredibly beautiful. I think that is one of the reasons that make her work so special.

7. Stanley Daydreams

While it's always good to draw pics of my elephants, it was nice to expand ever so slightly on the BEOP. But I like this cos it's got a nice composition with the thought bubbles and I gotta be honest and say Stanley's new design is friggin adorable.

The overall process was fairly smooth though despite the challenges. The composition I chose felt immediately the most impactful and from there it was all just working out how best to tell the story of these two characters

Some challenges I faced:
- Working out how to place the dragon in the scene
- Painting the forest background

It was the first big piece in years where I had included an animal and also a background, so both were difficult to wrap my head around in composition
