Overall, Windsea is a magical being in the form of a killer whale, although the fact that he has paws and ears hint that hes not actually a simple orca.
He has ties to the gods and shares a good friendship with Jormungandr. Hes also huge in size. Like BIG.

Another reason Windsea is worshipped by vikings is because he was created by Loki. As in hes one of the many Children of the norrøn god Loke.
Although, his "Father" is abusive, and hates that his creation follows happiness and love rather than maliciousness like Loki himself.
