Check out my review of Investigators by & from here: https://t.co/TuYNqZrWpX. It's a fun graphic novel adventure full of secret agents, clever acronyms, puns, & inventive characters. It's also fun to read aloud. My 5-year-old and I both love it!

You meet while hiking. She asks if she can have your name. You’re clever and say no, she can’t have it, per se, but you do provide a nickname. She looks disgruntled. You go swimming in the river. A snapping turtle bites your toe off. You think she’s behind it but have no proof.

Goya’s portrait of Bartolomé Sureda y Miserol (c1803/4) is one of my favourites. The image is one of a debonair young man with the artist using flashes of colour to bring excitement to the image. Miserol was a clever man who became an industrialist.

Hey, , show us your best Chaucer.

This famous portrait is found in a manuscript of Thomas Hoccleve’s Regiment of Princes. It’s online here:

I thought of Cleveland-Lloyd scenarios when I read that story-- makes me want to revisit this piece to make it show fatal green water instead...

Now that is finally getting a following on twitter...

Some non-ship art, because side characters never get their due:
- Wordly master Liao Ran
- The ever clever and brave Miss Chen
- Long suffering but loyal friend, Shen Yi

Apple pie & Wolf, haha not clever pun based on series title

When I first read Spice & Wolf, I can certainly say that I was not expecting it to be about medieval European economics.

"It's a hopeful play, and funny too! ... The writer has cleverly weaved all of these profound themes together, and peppered them with humour."

Massive congratulations to who has pulled off a remarkable feat with this OST. It's an amazing soundtrack, rich and varied and clever and genuinely beautiful.

Also, huge thanks to for the utterly glorious album art
