@darkestwizzard Oh I love that idea!
I originally thought Traveler, b/c back when it was super broke you could kind of see its support columns which looked a bit like that.
I love the thought of the Vex leaning into their tunes though. ;; <3

@JoametteGil @Alakotila @rayointhebottle Behold, an example. When you switch to column work it really smoothes out the process. It's also accepting that a few panels should be cut, with the bubbles being attributed to the previous panel. It's def intense design but the results can be amazing.
Once the hard work was done again soothing zen detail time.
Column paintings
Spiderwebs
Sand in the corners
midground dungeon floor
a decorative tile
broken bricks
crakcs & dust
lots of time spent on lots of subtle things
[17/20]
So the mess of lines on the ground actually turned into the dungeon floor texture. I knew that inbetween the two columns I'd like to have a decorative big tile. also i reconsidered the light direction critically and fixed the skeleton's shadow on the floor. [16/20]
It was time for another pass of construction in the foreground. Adding paintings on the columns in the pattern of the shield. Adding soft lightrays from the ceiling. Generally crosschecking all heights and proportions [15/20]
From here on out it was a smooth ride, starting on the far back, just adding details. soothing detail grind. Some fabric, some bricks. Working from back to front. Shading the column wa sthe most exciting, all easy and nice - pure feelings of Zen.
[13/20]
With the construction in place i could start working on the details. So first with some detailled carvings on the column bases, the abandoned bronze brazier, the lower stairs. Some parts e.g. the front column base I copied and resized to be faster. [12/20]
