Illustration for @Sierra_Magazine - “We've got about as much time to ward off unlivable heat, flooding, famine, warfare, and human displacement as my reproductive system has, statistically, to make a baby.” https://t.co/y3VrfAR9Ml
This week's release is part of a series from @Caitlin_Hackett! This is the first from the series, "The Black Horse of Famine," and it is currently available in our shop! But there are only a few left, so don't miss out on owning one! https://t.co/PXwpEI3ykl
‘It’s in the Cards’
Commissions are open!
I’m gonna start to make a witch a day until Halloween or try to Atleast. This is Monique, the witch of Famine and Death. Her cards see the future as long as it’s about a persons death. Hope you’re enjoying the witches so far.

Famine Yarrow is now out! It took a while to come up with the design for this one, and right when I finished it I had another idea that used a different enemy type from the campaign that I also finished! https://t.co/rEFATu1x5D
More of a force than a mythological creature, in Irish mythology, hungry grass/féar gortach is a patch of cursed grass! Also known as fairy grass, anyone walking on it is doomed to perpetual & insatiable hunger! Not known if this dates to 1840s famine or older! #FolkloreThursday
'Burying The Child' a painting by County Wicklow born artist Lilian Lucy Davidson in the 1920s was one of the first artworks of Irish Famine commemoration #womensart
Used to call him
Pestilence
Before we all had cars
Now He is Pollution
& He stinks
At playing cards
War grins
‘Cross baize at Famine
Crack thin in dirty thong
She swears Death
Is cheating
& she’s both Right&Wrong
For Everyone
Is cheating—
It’s mankind’s favorite song

Famine, as requested on my dA!
I think I’ll do those polls more often ^^ it was fun drawing this kiddo again
I just want to say that despite its weirdness, DA has been quite good to me for gaining a following. I've never felt that comfortable posting my work here because it's just always felt like such a feast-or-famine environment for exposure, especially for as crude an artist as me.
We empathise with people in history who have faced trauma and upheaval - in times of war, famine or plague. Yet we seem unable to empathise with people who are to come after us - future generations who will struggle for survival as a consequence of our actions and inaction.
Xipe Totec, the Flayed Lord, god of spring, patron of goldsmiths. In ancient times, a famine struck mexico. Xipe heard the cries of the starving people, and peeled off his own skin. Where it fell, maize grew. He thus wears the skin of a flayed man.
Aba, the little famine demon in training who prefers helping plants to destroying them, much to the dismay of his bosses. 🌱🌻 #oc #digitalart
