Happy #FossilFriday! Today's featured @JurassicFDN-supported research is about the brain of the Patagonian theropod Murusraptor! Read all about it here: https://t.co/29V5qU2E9h
It’s #FossilFriday and here is a WIP I’m working on of a Proterosuchus which just captured a young Lystrosaurus at an Early Triassic, South African river bank. Will it consume it in the water or on land? Many details to be refined but it is getting there. #paleoart #sciart
Linlongopterus was an aerial fisher from the Early Cretaceous of China. #pterosaur #fossils #science https://t.co/NPoi2dSDuy

Favorite rock type! Kabutops! Kind of like Scizor this is a Pokemon I just continually remember, even if it doesn't get a lot of attention or I don't use it that much. I loved it when it first came out and I still am fond of it and like the design and background. Fossil poke good

I also try to consider how the animal lived. There is fossil evidence for predation. If an arm was damaged, it would grow back, but smaller. My painting has two regenerating arms.
March 12, 1784, birthday of Victorian theologian & geologist William Buckland, he described the 1st #dinosaur as Megalosaurus in 1824 based on a fragmentary preserved jaw.

Ghost from A Song of Ice and Fire / Game of Thrones as a "true" albino Canis dirus. I used the fossil specimen no. 10834 from Rancho La Brea as a reference #paleoart #asoiaf #GOT
