I've been very quiet here recently because of a final push on post-review edits for LTTAII. I'm nearly there - last round of major edits tonight, and then a final proofread before it's sent off for designing. Am currently adding #paleoart notes about Dinocrocuta.
Last but not least, another more basal member of the group: Barytherium. Rendered here basically as a realistic version of the Pokémon "Drowzee" https://t.co/TKQ0FPstoH #SciArtTweetstorm #proboscidea #paleoart #fossils #prehistory #naturalhistory #animals
My most detailed entry into the Proboscidea series was the American mastodon. I painted as much of the fur as possible. https://t.co/PhJrTVUk21 #SciArtTweetstorm #paleoart #paleontology #scientificillustration
The longest tusks ever belong to this behemoth, Zygolophodon. https://t.co/LxAvWnI9IX

Aaand the biggest proboscidean ever, the massive Palaeoloxodon namadicus. This one I can really hear the elephant-like rumble every time I look at it. https://t.co/rL3HgZ2cs0 #SciArtTweetstorm #paleoart #proboscidea #paleontology
For day 5 of the #SciArt Tweet Storm here is an illustration I did for my in-prep book which was also shown during last year #paleoart exhibit “Picturing the Past”. It is a group of Dimorphodon, one of my favorite pterosaurs. Also because today is #PterosaurPtuesday
Aight let's get in on this #SciArtTweetstorm business. Here's just a handful of old dead animals I've drawn - Flexomornis, Plesiosaurus, Anomalocaris, and Zygodactylus! #paleoart
Hsisosuchus and an Angustinaripterus friend

@paleo_art I would like to share with you my most recent piece of paleoart - Tyrannosaurus Feeding Scene! https://t.co/yOreG2Kmjm #paleoart #dinosaurs #prehistory #naturalhistory #digitalart #tryannosaurus #tyrantlizardking

Day 4 of the #SciArt Tweet Storm. Five years ago a paleontologist peered over my shoulder as I worked on this illustration and told me I would do well to consider a career move into Scientific Illustration. So much gratitude for that advice. #acrocanthosaurus #paleoart
Stegosaurus was one of the first dinosaurs to evolve cheeks, enabling it to intake more plant matter while chewing - which it then washed down with stones to aid in digestion. Yummy?
Here's another oldie from Jurassic June some years ago!

Keep your eyes peeled for new artwork later today! 👀
Near completed version of an illustration of a juvenile Sinosauropteryx. I was commissioned to do this and 10 other juvenile or baby dinosaurs for a children’s book about baby #dinosaurs to be published later this year. The final illustration will be there #SciArt #paleoart
last month's character design challenge theme was #cavemen and I had way more fun with this than expected :) lots of sketches and hard decisions to make about which designs to take further^^

Day 2 of my palette challenge (palettes found here: https://t.co/JBcyA7Ek71) features Chilesaurus in #11. #dinosaurs #paleoart
I looked at living snakes for the coloration, just to mix things up. Trying to bring some variety to this series, although I had something more striking in my head. Might have to go crazy with Malerisaurus & Teraterpeton... #sciart #Allokotosauria #Pamelaria #paleoart #sciart
Results from the #paleostream!
Moros, Piranhamesodon, Polorovis and Cathetosaurus.

It’s been a while, but I’m back! To make up for lost time, I’ll be drawing dinosaurs described from 2015 to 2019 every day in March, using palettes from here: https://t.co/JBcyA7Ek71
Starting off the 2015 dinos, we have Yi in #13.
