I didn't get very far showing nephew how I paint digitally the past weekend. That layer literally took me less than 5 minutes because he was asking me how I pick colors. I'll hide or delete it and go back to what I was doing before, which was monochromatic shading.
Yay or nay? I'll be doing some https://t.co/9sTnpnDeBe shading. Come by and say hi.
I'm trying to keep a promise to myself, the promise to finish at least one piece of art a month. Like color and shading. And Hagu is always a joy so hes my first one. "Let your COURAGE shine!"

Another Tokyo Ghoul coloring, this time of Touka, this was a great panel to practice soft-shading. Hope you like it! Feel free to retweet.
Normal transfer to improve the hair shading. It's destroyed my anime ring forehead highlight for the time being. Usually data transfer of normals gives jagged shading in Cycles, but the Bevel node cleans them up nicely! 2nd pic is comparison to old normals #b3d
Colored the lineart of the character I posted here earlier. Next up: shading...

I never realized how much better NiDL's sprites would look with Mass Attack-esque shading. The black outlines end up clashing with a lot of NiDL's non-character (object, tiles, etc.) sprites because everything else uses colored outlines.
Same question, which looks better?
Same lineart as before but now with color and shading.
[365 Challenge] Day 28 - Too Bright
The rendering turned out alright. I still need to work on the shading. Hmm
Some WIPS of a redraw I’m doing of my Dnd character Ravanala. Tattoo iterations and the beginning of shading. #WIPS #dndcharacter #buffestofbaes
Tracy Bates did a beautiful job coloring this page full of texture and shading.
