Love how I can crack open the pages of any FF origin retelling and there's Johnny shaving another hobo Namor.

...and helped redefine what it could be and how dark its tone could get; it only makes sense then that New Mutants revisits its roots through that lens before moving forward into new frontiers.

The issue opens with a retelling of the closing moments of NM highlighting...

I wanted the Girl From the Sea to be a modern retelling of the selkie myth - not only is it a gay romance, but Keltie gives up her seal-skin knowingly, rather than having the relationship founded on an act of thievery and deception.

This to this makes a lot more sense if you imagine he exaggerated a little bit when retelling the story. He's still very handsome though, I agree.

A new, original story would be what I would like, too. Though, I wouldn't be shocked with a retelling since the potential of Vergil and some badass fight scenes between him and Dante in anime form would be...godlike!

Hopefully, we get a trailer or something soon.

This is back from 2015 but still one of my favorite pieces from A Realm Reborn. Retelling a story is risky business.

demon street update https://t.co/dxGcC3tsjn
about the comic: https://t.co/X93Wtc6DzS
demon street is a retelling of orpheus and eurydice where orpheus is a girl. it also, at the same time, is not a retelling of orpheus and eurydice at all

What book would you like to see adapted into a film rather than another remake, reboot, or retelling of stories that have already been told before by Hollywood? Here are 4 I would absolutely love to see on a big screen:
