Latest of my painting. Been learning a lot from taking my time and being more careful about forms and values. For the first time I've been documenting major changes and iterations so it's been really interesting seeing how this has been developing. :)

Sharing the Step by Step. I feel more confortable working from basic shapes and silhouette from the beginning. Using clipping mask and progressively checking my values, adding more contrast where is needed and detailing where I want the viewer to focus. 👌⭐️

Spotting dense blacks and cast shadows first gives you scaffolding to drop the rest of the middling values in later.

Value reigns over hue and saturation with an iron glove. If it’s right, the others can be super out-there and work.

It’s a common thing, but it bears repeating.

Was asked to draw a very strongly Jessica Rabbit-like character for this on . I feel I improved my anatomy with this one and I'm happy for that. I gotta work on color values a little more but it can be tough when I have a particular pallet I'm asked to work with.
